This game was a mouth watering proposition. The Red Lions v the Kookaburras. The belgian Red Lions have been on the rise in recent years with current coach Marc Lammers basing his style of play on the Australian format. Both teams are fast fit and exceptionally skilful. The team that took the early lead was going to hold an advantage. In under 2 minutes, Australia struck with their first field goal to the delight of thelarge Australian crowd. They added a second in under 9 minutes which rocked the Belgian team. They did howvere enjoy excellent possession and had several clear chances to score. In the second half, the game was very open and even. But the Australian prevailed to win 3-1 in a wonderful display of modern style hockey
