The first game of the day was relatively even. Canada struck first to open the scoring. It was an open free flowing game with both sides relatively evenly matched. South Africa managed to score the decider late in the second half to the relief of the S African bench.
In the second game of the night, Malaysia really came to play. They turned China inside out. China looked sluggish in the first half and went into the break 5-0 down. China managed to pull 3 goals back in the second half but Malaysia also managed to score 2 more. The final result was a 10-goal haul. 7-3 to Malaysia. Malaysia now look good to gain a place in the final with likely Champions, Australia. Everything depends on the next 2 days' results.
