The Azlan Shah Cup is Asias premier annual mens hockey tournament. It is currently held in Ipoh, Malaysia during the first half of each year.

The teams are by invitation and typically include several of the world power-houses of hockey. Besides the host nation Malaysia, teams generally include Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan and South Korea. Holland, Belgium and Egypt together with Argentina have also been represented during previous campaigns.

GB won in classic style leading from the front. Australia was playing catch up the whole game in what was an absolute thriller. The crowd was on the edge of their seats as Australia pressed hard but just could not find the equaliser to take the game to penalty shoot outs.
